- I'm having problems with a new "Sportster Plug and Play 14.4 FAX
- Modem - Internal Version", Model 276.
-
- The comm software talks to the modem okay - using KEA!.
-
- Connects at 2400 baud work fine.
-
- At any higher rate, I can hear the other modem answer and the carrier
- but after a few seconds I get a "NO CARRIER". It never connects.
-
- My init string is taken from the USR web page:
-
- AT&F&B1&H1&R2&A3&K3X4 &W
-
- Rarely, I've gotten it to connect at 9600 to a terminal server at work
- but have never achieved a 9600 or greater connect to America Online.
- When it has worked it has not be obvious what I did differently;
- apparently nothing.
-
- Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
